It happens a lot. When I see a fabulous piece of furniture or accessory in a magazine or a stylish’s friend’s house, it often hails from a Paris flea market. Les Puces (“the fleas”) is the most famous, and I’ve been only once, but that was enough to steal my heart--and make it beat really, really fast. One treasure I brought home was a leather ottoman with intricate stitching all around. It was clearly well-worn and much-loved, which made me adore it all the more.
