My friends talked me into going out for drinks at a honky-tonk in Oklahoma as we were driving through, and I had lots more fun than I thought I would. (I’ll just say there were margaritas, two-stepping, and a mechanical bull on the premises.) We sat at the bar at a tall table in these armless, backless seats that were nonetheless really comfortable--I’m sure it was their saddle shape. After our trip I set about recreating them, and I came up with the Saddle Counter Stool. A touch more refined than in the Oklahoma bar, ours has an oak frame, flax-colored linen upholstery, and nailhead trim. But the attitude is still the same!
